the others . . .
This is the start of our looong awaited sem-break…after our never ending Monday exams, new modules to be researched, [actually, research from upper classmen’s notes], reporting of what we’ve researched [actually, reading our hand-outs in front, pretending to know everything written in it], memorizing, analyzing, studying, drinking coffee like it’s water, long sleepless nights [supposedly, but still ends up sleeping], after having plans of what to do when we have a break….at last! Here it is! Finally! Sem-break has started!...
After our last exam, my classmates and I proceeded to our idea of “gimik.” While some rushed their way to their dorm and packed up to be finally home…vacation! One of the sweetest things in life…
Now that I’m in my hometown, I can finally mark one-by-one my looong list of things to do this sem-break: “done”…spend time “bonding” [vomit] with friends, coffee-coffee and discussing who got hitched and who got ditched, chika-chika with friends and laughing our hearts out [miss that already]… check out what’s new around staying inside my room listenin’ to mp3’s, movie marathon, , update my friendster account, write an article about my dorm life, med-tech life, about how I got myself to Cagayan and study medicine [actually that’s long overdue already], but to such dismay, my card reader is out-of-order [murag toilet] and I haven’t brought my u.s.b. thinking that my card reader is okay, tsk! [sigh] so I can’t transfer my pics from my phone, u know documentaries are better seen with pics, right? so i‘ll do it next time na lng…I have so many plans, I planned to “read in advance” about genetics, metabolism, reproductive system [para d magmukhang tanga next sem]…buy nice dvd’s, watch it till dawn, sleep all day, papayat, eat home-cooked food, get back my original skin color, go to beach, cut my hair, go visit my dentist and derma…all are just plans, galing ko jan hehehe…
But here I am, this is my third day of our sem-break and so far all I did was opened photo albums, and take those pictures which I think best to look at whenever I get sentimental when I go back to Cagayan, listen to mp3’s, and sing to the top of my voice, letting air out from my lungs `till it gets deflated…and now, I’m in my room, savoring this mocha-slash-caramel flavored cake nga d masabtan murag kyamoy [too much calorie] and marveling the works of Jessica Zafra, “The Twisted Menace” [never thought that reading would make a great past time] and this is one of the lines that caught my attention:
“A good writer lets you get into his head so you can see the world as he does.”
Hmmm, so is that how to measure a good writer?...makes me wanna check-out good books and take a glimpse of their world…
Guess magmumukhang tanga ako next sem hehehe…
